Taylor hit me up on Facebook, after seeing a few images that we had done for Madi B. Since that time she has done many different photo and video shoots for me.

Taylor always brings her A game and of course photographs like a New York super star. She is also one of the nicest and smartest people that I have met. Never a cross word to anyone, always up, and even though she doesn’t prefer to smile in her photos, she has a light in her eyes that truly inspires.

Taylor now does a lot of my stock photography work and I hope to be shooting with her for as long as I can.

Images from our 2012/2013 exercise shoots. We did two shoots with this theme, the first primarily to produce our first video with the new Nikon D4.

We built the set, with a little inspiration from a Victoria’s Secret Video. We just wanted to see if we could pull it off. Of course, this being an in house project and no money coming in, we needed to stay within a budget. So the aluminum structure in the original video, was reconstructed using the cheapest wood that we could find. The wood was painted white, then covered with the thinnest fabric we could find. The floor was a spare Denny’s white vinyl that we had laying around.

The lighting was all done with hot lights, for the first shoot.

So after 2 years shooting the Hasselblad H3D-II 31…. The camera had some horrific focus problems that kept me from shooting it for almost a year. I would shoot it, but always back it up with my Nikon D3, didn’t trust that I would get a single image in focus unless I focused manually.

Hasselblad had the camera back several times to fix the problems, and looks like the 3rd time was the charm. Camera now works as it should!

In my first article I said that the image quality was number one, and it still is even after some very impressive releases from both Nikon and Canon in the 35mm format. This camera still has a look and feel to the images that is unique to Hasselblad and - Read The Entire Story

I had the pleasure of working with Model Winner Toni Marie while shooting this video for Seniors Ignite. Toni is everything a model should be. Be sure to check out Seniors Ignite, a great resource if you are a senior photographer looking to improve your bottom line!

The image with Toni Marie kind of laid back on the chair was interesting. I remember as I was shooting this image that in the back of my head I was thinking that I wasn’t going to like it very much because the lighting wasn’t exactly the way I wanted it. There was a lot of downlight from the skylights a ton of light coming in from behind her in a window that was going to end up in the image itself.

This steampunk inspired image was put together pretty much on a whim. Taylor was in the studio shooting exercise stuff for stock, and a couple of outfits for the Studio K fashion blog.

We had the jacket and the glasses from a previous shoot with senior model Marissa S. We had just picked up the pants from the mall for yet another shoot. So stylists, Steph Wolfred, and Hayli Goode, grabbed whatever we had laying around, including the vintage camera, and within a few minutes, had this awesome look put together for me.

Makeup Artist Beth Jerrels, did a quick little updo for Taylor, adjusted the makeup a bit and we were off to the races.

My basic lighting setup doesn’t change too much, so you really can - Read The Entire Story

Many are asking why I seemed to have dropped out of all the organizations and everything else I was doing –

Well as some of you know I am a perfectionist in everything that I do. As I get older I am finding that the stress related to perfection can take a toll on your health.

I haven’t been feeling good lately, and a trip to my doctor during one of my episodes revealed a blood pressure of 250 over 160 – not good. So I am now on a regimen of exercise and better diet, and monitoring my pressure a couple of times a day. I am hoping to control it without medication, but I guess we will see. Going for additional tests next week, will keep everyone - Read The Entire Story

I met Bailee Zimmerman when she was just 15 years old. She was already a model by any standard, had a vision for where she was going, and was magic in front of the camera.

She came to us during her reign as Miss Indiana Teen USA for model shots, and pageant headshots. We have since done 10 or 12 photo shoots for her portfolio, pageant headshots, and advertising photos for both my site and Studio K.

My favorite shoots were on the beach in San Diego, and Fort Meyers Florida. She is amazing in a swimsuit and the locations just rocked. Check out the San Diego Shoot, and the Fort Myers Shoot to see the photos.

Bailee is now in her twenties, and in New York modeling, - Read The Entire Story

I purchased the Land Rover after my lease expired on my Ford Edge. The Ford Edge was a nice vehicle, but I just wasn’t overly thrilled with it. It was awful in the snow, the upper trim pieces were held in with double-sided sticky tape and would fall down constantly. There were squeaks in the dashboard, just wasn’t worth the nearly $40K they get for the Edge.

I found the Land Rover on Ebay after searching for months. It was the right vehicle, and at $2700, it was the right price. My wife drove me to Pennsylvania to pick it up, and after a stressful ride home, it was to be my ride for the next few years.

Over the next year I put new tires on it, brakes, wheel - Read The Entire Story
